The War Style
Just as in World War I, World War II also caused a change in style. This war style was in some ways the same as the war style of the 1910s, but in other ways different. One part that was different was that different styles arose with the war style. These styles were popular during the war and many of them continued to stay popular after. One style was padded shoulders. The clothing also emphasized the waist and hips, just as in the Edwardian Era (1900's). One style that was very different than anything before was that practical and casual clothing was accepted. Some women even wore pants. Also, the hemlines on skirts were lowered to below the knee.
The After-War Style
After the war, the style completely changed. Instead of unnatural padded shoulder, the emphasises were more natual. Also, very fitted clothing started to become popular after the war. Very long skirts were a trend and also there was the introduction to 3/4 full skirts.

Hello!
Isn't it weird how style change so rapidly. It's so interesting. I
also think that it's interesting how trends come back in style after
being lost for many years. Look how the 3/4 skirt has become a trend
just recently again! Let's go see the 1950's.
